The kitchen and toilets were also spacious and clean, providing a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering a full refund when they couldn't provide a double room as requested. The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hostel also had great deals on drinks and a pool hall on the ground floor, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.

Centrally located, easy access to everything, there seems to be a never ending stream of cleaners working constantly around the clock, so very clean.
The staff are odd and rude (not the cleaners, they were lovely).

Closeness to city centre and reasonably priced.
No cup of tea making facilities in the room.

I had a great stay at the hostel. The location was excellent, with easy access to the city center and all its attractions. The hostel was clean and well-maintained, with a nice kitchen and living room for guests to use. The free breakfast, though limited, was a good option for budget travelers like me. The dorm room was comfortable, and I appreciated the individual shelves and USB charging points at each bed. The free wifi and the availability of games and movies in the common room were also a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend this hostel to others looking for a budget-friendly and convenient place to stay.
There were a few minor drawbacks during my stay. The bunk beds in the dorm room were a bit wobbly, which made me feel a bit uneasy when climbing up.

the manager was so very friendly after my cancellation of 2nd room for 1 night
when we arrived would have been nice to be told of another form of entry to get to our unit as we are older clients but was great.

This hotel is in the town centre, making it a fantastic location for exploring Dunedin. The rooms have high up windows that let in ample natural light, and they are cleaned daily, just like the bathroom facilities. The breakfast, which is included, offers beautiful views and a variety of options.
No major issues, everything was just fine.

This hotel is a great choice for anyone looking for affordable accommodation in the center of town. The rooms are bright and comfortable, and I particularly loved the en-suite bathroom that was included. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to all the attractions in the very centre of Dunedin. Additionally, the communal breakfast is a nice touch and offers beautiful views.
The only minor downside was the unreliable WiFi reception, but they made up for it by providing a selection of DVDs for entertainment.

Location and price (got a discount as I'm YHA member). Security good too.
Staff were not very friendly, room wasn't very comfortable - tiny as well, bathroom got dirty towards end of the day (water on the floor from showers), cramped toilet cubicles and "school style" bathroom so no privacy much, kitchen too small for everyone to cook in and not many places to sit down. After you check out, you cannot access communal areas which means you cannot cook breakfast or lunch after you've checked out as in many hostels you can.

The location of the hostel was fantastic, being close to the town center made it easy to explore the city. The staff were great, always friendly and helpful. I also appreciated the use of the kitchen and the free breakfast of coffee, tea, and buttered toast.
There were a couple of negative aspects during my stay. the room I stayed in had a strong smell, like wet socks, which was unpleasant.

I was in a double room, which was a bit like a hotel, but pretty much the same price. Big kitchen. Very good location. Parking free at night right next to it.
Noise from the other rooms and people passing by, and don't expect much from the free breakfast (toasts, if you have bread left). No free wifi (not cool considering the price of the room), and the air-remover from the bathroom was malfunctionning.

room and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was a great bonus though not advertised. Kitchen always clean at the start of the day.
Lighting in the kitchen and communal area was very poor. torches needed for cooking. Very high window in bedroom inaccessible.
